Last month I ran a mega experiment comparing Gemini vs ChatGPT vs Claude. 

Just 12 days ago, Anthropic released Claude 3 ‘Sonnet‘ — their latest AI model. It’s gaining popularity for its highly realistic interactions and advanced reasoning capabilities.

Meaning, that it sounds more like a human than any other model.

We run an experiment to test this theory. And who better to compete with Claude 3 than Chat GPT 4?

Today we are running yet another experiment to pitch the two most popular AI chatbots - Claude 3 and ChatGPT 4 to see who’s better for this specific use case.

👨🏼 Sounding Like A Human

Prompt: Craft a short, empathetic reply to the following email for me: 

I recently took the lead on a big project at work, but the management isn’t impressed with my leadership skills. The results aren’t rolling in as expected. What should I do?

This is what Chat GPT wrote

This is what Claude 3 wrote

My Verdict: Claude 3

Claude 3 outshines with reasoning. It definitely sounds more like a human than Chat GPT. While both AI models offer solutions, Claude 3 takes on a more empathetic tone than GPT.

📱 Crafting Social Media Posts

Prompt:

Create a short tweet for me highlighting the importance of having a daily reading habit. Give three benefit-based bullets. No generic advice.

This is what Chat GPT wrote

This is what Claude 3 wrote

My Verdict: TIE!

Both tools created somewhat similar tweets, with GPT using more complex language. 

Both used the word UNLOCK — as usual. 

But the content was still generic. As it is, AI tools still have limitations.

📌 Brainstorming Headlines For A Facebook Ad

Prompt: Create 3 ad headlines for a wedding photography brand offering a limited-time 20% discount on their packages. The brand produces Hollywood-style video albums—be sure to highlight this benefit.

This is what Chat GPT wrote

This is what Claude 3 wrote

My Verdict: Claude 3, but…

I’d choose Claude 3 over Chat GPT simply because it states the offer clearly, but extra points to GPT for trying riskier versions of these ad headlines!

Who Gets The Trophy? 🏆

If I could split the trophy in half and give Claude 3 a slightly bigger chunk, I would.
