Claude vs ChatGPT (Research & Brainstorming)

Greetings Cyborg,

Are you team Claude or team ChatGPT?

I did a mini experiment to see which one responds better for the same prompts. The results are not what I expected!

After today's insights, you might reconsider your preferred AI assistant.

THE BIG WORD

Claude vs ChatGPT for Research & Brainstorming

AI sucks in spitting out entire articles at the click of a button. But it can be a great assistant when it comes to brainstorming and research. Today we are going to pitch the two most popular AI chatbots - Claude and ChatGPT to see who’s better for this specific use case.

You also get to have a say in it. 😃

The best responses will get a shoutout in the next edition that’ll be sent to 70,000+ fellow Content Cyborgs!

Brainstorming

Prompt: I want to create a topic cluster on “Electric Vehicles”. Can you brainstorm and give me 10 really good ideas that will help my content strategy?

Claude’s response: https://shareclaude.top/c/qwuextc

My Winner: ChatGPT

Claude gave specific answers while ChatGPT gave broader themes for me to think about. In other words, Claude tried to spoon feed me while ChatGPT tried to tickle my brain. I’d prefer the second option any day! What would you prefer?

Research

Prompt: I am writing a long form article on “The future of EV batteries - New battery chemistries, innovations to improve range and charging speed”. Can you do some research and give me quality citations or research material I can link to? Please provide source link so that I can do additional research.

Claude’s response: https://shareclaude.top/c/jyhqtyw

My Winner: Claude

ChatGPT gave me links that are not clickable. Maybe it’s a bug. But this is not the first time it’s happening. And I’m disappointed.

Claude gave me proper citations. I felt its summaries also slightly edged out ChatGPT. Overall - Claude helped me way more than ChatGPT for this prompt.

Reader Intent

Prompt: I am writing a long form article on “The future of EV batteries - New battery chemistries, innovations to improve range and charging speed”. Can you tell me the top 5 questions my readers would have for this topic?

Claude’s response: https://shareclaude.top/c/zyaorbt

My Winner: Claude

This is a close one. I wouldn’t be surprised if many found ChatGPT’s response better.

Both were useful, but I felt Claude’s answers were closer to the topic in hand. ChatGPT’s responses were useful but a tad bit generic in my opinion. What do you think?

My Overall Winner

Okay, here’s my “not-so-sneaky” plug! 😉
