Gemini vs ChatGPT vs Claude (Best AI Editor)

Greetings Cyborg,

Last week we compared Claude and ChatGPT as a research assistant.

Surprisingly, Claude came out being much better.

But now, Google has entered the ring with Gemini!

So this week, we’ll be conducting a mini experiment to find the best AI editing assistant among the three.

Gemini vs ChatGPT vs Claude for Editing

AI might not be your best friend in creating original content.

But it’s a great ally in editing those first drafts.

Grammar Nazi

Prompt: Please edit this for grammar and typos. Also list the errors as bullet points:

The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dogs back. It's tail wagging ferociously as it's lands softly on the otherside. This moment was truly a spectale to behold.

My Verdict: Tie, but Gemini slightly outshines

AI is generally good at finding mistakes. All three were perfect.

If I had to choose a winner, I’d go for Gemini because of its reasoning capability.

Claude and ChatGPT just explained the mistakes without much explanation. For daily use, this shouldn’t matter (unless you’re a grammar teacher).

Shortening

Prompt: Shorten this paragraph without losing its essence:

Proper hydration is absolutely critical for muscle building, growth, and repair. When working out, especially strength training with heavy weights or high volumes, the muscles require adequate water intake to function at peak performance.

Dehydration can significantly reduce strength and muscle endurance. It's incredibly important to drink enough water before, during, and after tough workouts.

My Verdict: Gemini again?

ChatGPT’s response was a disappointment. The sentences were too long and it felt a bit amateurish.

Claude was great, but I felt Gemini’s response retained a bit more essence of the original paragraph.

Persuasion

Prompt: Make this sentence more persuasive: One-click article generators are a disaster for your SEO strategy. If you’re really interested in incorporating AI, use a combination of AI and human effort to create the best content.

My Verdict: Gemini hits it out of the park

Claude and ChatGPT did a good job; but nothing compared to Gemini.

Gemini went an extra couple of miles to list out 6 possible approaches to make it more persuasive. While the stat it used was probably a hallucination, I felt the overall output was more helpful.

My Overall Verdict

Google is officially in the AI chatbot race and personally, it performed better than ChatGPT and Claude in many cases.

But remember: A generic AI is still a generic AI.
